This trek is among three best routes in 'Top Treks of the World' list, created by Lonely Planet. Hardly anything else in the world can beat the views you are going to enjoy throughout this trip. You will definately remember these two weeks in Himalaya mountains all life long.

in detail
Tour Program
Day 1. Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu, acquaintance, check-in at the hotel. We purchase missing equipment, check backpacks and dine on the roof of one of the best panoramic restaurants in Kathmandu. If there is time, we will examine the main attraction of Kathmandu-the stupendous Buddha's Stupa and then go for a walk around the evening city.
Day 2. Kathmandu - Besisahar - Chame
Early departure to Besisar, the starting point of the Annapurna circuit route. Many people start their way from here, but in this case the trek can become three weeks long or more. Moreover, in the interval from Besisahar to Pisang there is a rather large amount of transport that interrupts the serene mountain idyll. From these considerations in Besisahar we change bus for jeeps and make another transfer - to Chame, where the most dizzying and unforgettable panoramas of the Annapurna nature reserve begin.
Day 3. Chame - Upper Pisang
After the first acclimatization night in the mountains, we set off on a journey. On this day we have to go along a narrow path through a dense coniferous forest, along fir, pine and Himalayan cedar, after which the most unusual rock formations on the entire route appear, rising from a river stream to a height of 1500 meters. The road is surrounded by Himalayan peaks all the way to Pisang.
Day 4. Pisang - Naval
Pisang is divided by the river Marsyandi into two parts - Lower Pisang (on the right bank) and Upper Pisang (on the hill on the left bank). We will spend the night in the more picturesque Upper Pisang. After breakfast with a breathtaking view of Annapurna 2 (from now on, we will only enjoy such ones), we set off on a journey. Afterwards you will only have time to look around and take pictures - every new kilometer of our way will be more fascinating than the previous.
Day 5. Naval - Manang
After spending the night in a small settlement of Naval, we make a short walk to a very picturesque village of Braga. There we will have a sightseeing tour, during which we will visit the most ancient Buddhist monastery in the area. Also after a short rest, an acclimatization trip to the Milarepa cave (4200 m) is possible. Next, we approach the final point of the route for today. This is Manang - the largest village in the area. The village can offer tasty food, confectioneries with pastries and good coffee. In the evening we will go to the cinema, set up by the local people right in the cave (there are three movie theaters in the settlement).
Day 6. Manang
We spend the whole day in Manang for acclimatization purpose, enjoying the fruits of civilization for the last time before starting the more severe part of the route. Also on this day we make an acclimatization trip to the stupa, towering high above the settlement - there we will have a blessing for crossing Throng La Pass from a very old monk leaving near the stupa and enjoy beautiful views of the Annapurna massifs.
Day 7. Manang - Shree Kharka
Today we will take short, but quite intense in terms of views walk to Shree Kharka lodge point, where only two guest houses are situated. This stop is also quite important for our acclimatization and it will make you feel much stronger, although some groups just miss it and continue all the way to Tilicho Base Camp.
Day 8. Shree Kharka- Tilichio Base Camp
The most beautiful days of the track begin. We leave Manang, climbing along a narrow path with beautiful views of Gangapurna, and head for Tilicho Base Camp, located at an altitude of 4150 m. This is a large two-story guest house where we will spend the night, gaining strength for tomorrow's ascent.
Day 9. Tilicho Base Camp - Tilicho lake - Tilicho Base Camp
Early in the morning we continue our way to Tilicho lake, going upwards for about 800 meters. Lake Tilicho has an elongated form from the northwest to southeast, the length of the lake is 4 km, the width is about 1 km. The lake is being replenished by the meltwater of Tilicho peak glacier, which will appear before us in all its glory in good weather. On the surface of the lake, small icebergs are often visible, separated from the glacier. After inspecting the lake, we return to the Base Camp.
Day 10. Tilicho Base Camp - Yak Kharka
You will remember the road from Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka for its breathtaking views of the majority of the eight-thousandths, as well as the amazingly beautiful plateau with a 360-degree panoramic view. This is one of our favorite episodes on the entire route. We reach Yak Kharka, next to which is a great chance to meet and capture the grazing yaks. If you wish, in this village you can also try cheese made from yak milk.
Day 11. Yak Kharka - Thorong Phedi
The landscape is becoming more and more ruthless, nothing is green any more, and a stony, gray captivating desert appears around us with its calm lifelessness. We go up for 400 metres and spend the night in a tiny village Torong Phedi (4450 m). Actually, there is no village there, only two lodges specially for trackers. We bask at the stove in the restaurant and prepare for our main day.
Day 12. Thorong Phedi - Thorong La - Muktinath
The culmination of our journey - crossing Thorong La Pass - is the longest day of the trek. We rise before dawn - we have to go 550 meters up and 1700 meters down. The day is quite heavy, but after good acclimatization in the area of Tilicho, you will have every chance to pass it without any difficulties. And spending the night in Muktinath will award you with the return of hot water and a good choice of Nepalese cuisine.
Day 13. Muktinath - Pokhara
In the morning, with the first pilgrims, we go to one of the most revered Hindu temple complexes in Nepal - it bears the same name with the village - Muktinath. You will have the opportunity to feel the powerful energy of this sacred place. After sightseeing we take the bus and go to Pokhara without stopping - a place where all the benefits of civilization and the opportunity to have a rest after wandering await for us.
Day 14. Pokhara
All day we are relaxing in Pokhara at Lake Pheva, where we go boating, go for a walk, swim, or just sit on the shore and meditate, restoring the energy spent during the trek. In the evening we are going to a festive dinner.
Day 15. Pokhara - Kathmandu
Ride to Kathmandu (if you have time, desire and evening flight the next day, you can stay in Pokhara for one more day).
Day 16
Flying back home
None of the photos can convey a tenth of what you are going to see in Nepal during the track. Giant machinas of 7000 and 8000 meters in height, sprinkled with crystal clear, heavenly snow, with clouds fluttering between them and eagles with a wingspan of more than one and half meters hovering in the gusty winds - you won't be able to take your eyes off this. And if you really love mountains, you simply have to see it yourself.

You don't need to pay anything before. Buying a ticket to Nepal for the dates of the tour will be enough for booking. You can pay for the tour directly to your guide afrer he meets you in Kathmandu.
Can I make it?
We are more than sure that you can. This trip is suitable even for beginners. The program of our trek around Annapurna is specially designed in such a way that every day we optimally combine time on the road and time for rest. There are no overnight stays in tents or in the wild on this track. Every 5-6 km on our way there will be mountain villages of local residents, where you can spend the night in guest house, eat, take a shower and so on. This is one of the most famous routes in the world, a large number of people pass it every year. So there is no need to worry. If you can, for example, walk around the native city for 6-7 hours without stopping, then you will handle this trip as well.
But our strong recommendation is to take a porter with you. This is a professional Nepalese man who will carry a heavy load of your things for you. It's a quite cheap service, but his help will be extremely important in the mountains. And of course, you need to bring with you all the necessary clothing and equipment mentioned in the list below. You can buy it either in advance, or just before the trek in Kathmandu, there are very good prices for such clothing and equipment on nepalese market.
